I'm taking Canteen's Five Peaks Virtual Challenge...
Soooo, with the disheartening news on my 16 year old cousin being diagnosed with a stage 4 aggresive lung cancer, and an uncle being diagnosed with stage 3 (start of stage 4)
Sigmoid adenorarcinoma ive decided to try do a little to raise awareness for this terrible germ of a thing, Ive lost family members and friends to various cancers (may they forever ret in peace) and now that this is my bit to help!!! .…a month-long challenge to cover 70km in March - the combined trail distance of Australia’s five highest peaks.
Every year, 23,000 young Australians face the mountain that is a cancer journey. Whether facing their own cancer diagnosis, or dealing with a loved one’s cancer journey, climbing that peak means feeling isolated, lost, exhausted, and confused.
It’s terrifying, and no one should face it alone. That’s why I’m challenging myself and I need your support!
Please sponsor me today and make every km count! All funds raised will help young people, facing their hardest climb, get free access to Canteen’s cancer counselling, peer support and specialised in-hospital care.
Thank you for your support!
